Mindful Flow

Mindful Flow Yoga with Sarah will bring you into your body and breath, revitalizing and soothing the mind-body-spirit.

This all-level/all-ages class is designed for those who already have some beginner-level experience, or it aims to help those looking to stay active who would be currently able to move at a moderate pace.

Mindful Flow can be beneficial to students who are also avid golfers, dancers, pickle-ballers, gardeners, swimmers, and the list goes on. It helps with flexibility, balance, strengthening and toning, healing from past injuries and provides a deep in-class experience to enrich or commence your yoga practice.

Gentle Flow

Gentle Flow Yoga with Sarah takes a restorative approach. It is for all people looking for a soothing yet still physically beneficial yoga practice through adapted postures and movements that are mindful of injuries, especially those with knee and wrist sensitivities.

This class is also a prime opportunity for beginners to learn about yoga for the first time. It welcomes all ages and can be helpful for anyone who would like to move at a careful pace where moving with ease is encouraged at all times.

Learn new ways to find balance within the mind-body-spirit, and join this 8-week summer yoga program offered for the first time in this area.

Yoga Teacher, Bachelor's in Music Therapy (BMT)

Sarah Pound

She/Her

I started my journey with yoga twenty years ago as a teenager before it became so widely popular in the West. My background in dance and athletics drew me to the practice, and I fell in love. With over 350 hours of teacher training, I started studying to become a teacher in 2010.

Ever since I have taught students at all levels, and I particularly enjoy teaching through a restorative lens. After having two daughters, I augmented this approach when I used a pre-natal and post-natal yoga practice to help me thrive and heal (physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually). I also have many years of experience teaching chair yoga in long-term care.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy, am a singer-songwriter, and end my classes with ‘a sung blessing’ that I learned many years ago from one of my beloved teachers.

I am enthusiastic about mindfulness, meditation, balance work and restoring peace, strength and harmony to the body.
